Thinix WiFi Hotspot is a Windows program that makes it easy to share Internet access.

Thinix WiFi Hotspot is an application for Windows 7 and 8 that simplifies setting up a W-Fi hotspot or sharing an Internet connection wirelessly. These are similar techniques, and it’s just a matter of what verbiage you choose to use. This program was developed with on-the-go challenges in mind, such as sharing Internet access at a cafe or in a hotel, but you could absolutely use it your home as an alternative to Windows connection sharing or a similar technology.

What makes Thinix WiFi Hotspot great is how simple it is to share one connection across many devices. It may not be the most sophisticated or feature-rich solution on the market, but if you want a way that even the most casual user can enjoy, this it. The user interface is intuitive and well-organized, and everything is clearly defined and automated in many cases.

The program adds layers of security to help make your ad hoc network more secure in a public space. Want to share your cellular Web access with a friend via Wi-Fi? It takes just a button press or two. Ever been in a hotel where purchased Internet access is Mac address limited? Let your laptop connect, for instance, and then share that connection with your smartphone, tablet and so forth.

As mentioned, this program was developed for Windows 7 and then Windows 8. It was never updated for Windows 10 as far as we can tell, and its unclear if such support is incoming. So, there’s no official Windows 10 support, and maybe there never will be because Windows 10 and many devices now have such features built-in. However, you can still use it with Windows 10 via compatibility mode.

Also, note that Thinix WiFi Hotspot is trialware. You can download and install it and then use it for a period of time after which your access will be revoked. The upside is that the trial has full privileges, but the downside is that you’ll have to pay to use any of the features that the app provides.
